Nowadays, in this era of increasingly scarce supplies, people’s awareness of environmental protection is getting stronger and stronger. Many sneaker brands are developing recyclable environmentally friendly sneakers, adding recycled waste materials to replace the original raw material configuration to achieve the effect of reuse. This reduction of waste manufacturing is very conducive to environmental protection in the world.

Converse is no exception. Recently, under the premise of retaining the core design integrity of Chuck Taylor All Star and Chuck 70, the new Renew series has been launched by using recycled PET, recycled fabrics and recycled cotton imitation canvas. The new Renew series is divided into three series, Renew Canvas, Renew Denim and Renew Cotton. Each series has a completely different manufacturing process.

The first series, Converse Renew Canvas, is based on the design concept of “waste recycling”. It consists of 100% recyclable polyester fibers, and the raw materials are taken from plastic bottles commonly used in our lives.

The second series of Renew Denim is made from second-hand jeans as a “retrofit” material, which is made through internal research and development and recycling methods.

The third series, Renew Cotton, made excess imitation cotton canvas into a blend of 40% recycled cotton and polyester fiber, and then spun it into a yarn to make a gray upper for a new shoe
