The plantation owners included about 25,000 individual plants and 46 different plant species, including shrubs, perennials and climbing plants. Each planter has a unique combination of plants from chongming island in Shanghai, a fertile piece of land in the Yangtze river delta, more than half of which is evergreen to “ensure green buildings flourish all year round”. The building is expected to be completed in 2020, and the first peak will contain a 10-storey mixed-use facility that will surround several large atriums that bring natural light into its core. These huge voids will be connected to a number of outdoor balconies that surround the building and then cascade down to form the studio’s new park and walkway along the suzhou river.
The second phase of the development will also involve more landscaping, including 900 metres of riverside public space and 12,000 square metres of landscaped park, including jogging trails, sculpture gardens and a series of outdoor activities.I think this building will be the mainstream in the future. This combination of modern and natural architecture can protect the environment well. So I really like it.
